The heart starts pounding, the mind races, anxiety kicks in — that’s the normal reaction to a successful hack. So let’s act and correct: let’s apply what we call Incident Response. First, put the case in perspective; understanding its real dimension helps you calm down with the certainty that taking action toward recovery brings. From there, a step-by-step checklist to recover the site and the reputation, and what to revisit afterwards so it doesn’t happen again.
