The three questions people ask most when they learn I work in cybersecurity: how do I know if I’ve been hacked, what do I do when it happens, and how can I avoid it next time? This session takes all three head-on, drawing on real cases from years working at Sucuri and GoDaddy Security.
A gallery of compromised sites trains your eye to spot the signs quickly. Each case teaches a pattern: what different types of infections look like in practice, and how to recognise them before a scanner does.
From there, a step-by-step checklist of countermeasures — the actions to take in the hours immediately after discovery, and what to put in place so the same attack becomes much harder next time.
